This album began with pieces of mine that had already found their way into words. Years later, without musical training, I began turning those words into songs.
When I finally heard the album from beginning to end, I recognized myself: my struggle and strength, my vision and passion, my love for my mother and daughter...
Other women recognized themselves too—their own lives, their mothers, their daughters, the women in their families.
